Due to the conditions of his sale, he was unable to operate in the same sector for an agreed period.
Rather than waiting to start a new business that would compete with his old company, he decided to immediately focus on another sector of the mortgage industry that he felt was being poorly mis-treated. The self-employed.
Using his knowledge and experience of how mortgage lenders operate, he knew he could make a real difference. The following day, New Wave was created.
He wanted to create a mortgage service that was tailored specifically just for self-employed individuals and business owners. The goal was to make it faster and easier for them to get the mortgage they deserved.
To achieve this, he understood the importance of building his entire business around the needs of the self-employed and nobody else.
Using the same model as his previous mortgage business, he invested in having underwriters that operate within the same office as the expert consultants providing advice to clients.
By combining expert consultants with experienced underwriters we were able to significantly improve the chances our self-employed clients had securing the mortgage they needed.
